Also you don't need specially made screws, drills, or bits. You can make pocket holes with a brace and 2 bits. Or a cordless drill and 2 bits, or a drill press and 2 bits, or a $50 jig and bit set. It's nothing new. I personally don't use pocket holes in anything other than shop projects. My goal in woodworking isn't necessarily to make something.
